USDA Forest Service, Ecosystems Management, Natural Resources Information Systems
We are under contract with the GSA Region 10 for the USDA Forest Service, Ecosystems Management, Natural Resources Information Systems. In this contract, we utilize our knowledge and expertise in every aspect of IT and GIS services in the creation and support of Fauna, a GIS-based client server application. As part of this ongoing work, DataLOGIC provides IT project management, system integration, business requirements definition, programming, database design, database migration, geographic information systems, help and on-line documentation preparation.

The product of this work effort is a set of policies, methods and procedures, business and design documentation, software, and help documentation. Software environments include a full range of development software, tools and component packages, as well as the customer’s corporate software MS Access 2000, Oracle 8i, ESRI ArcView 3.2, ESRI Arc/Info7.4+, ArcGIS. The deliverable software was design to be seamlessly integrated into an existing corporate client-server environment consisting of Windows 95 and Windows 2000 on the client and IBM AIX on the server.

System design and programming service for USDA Forest Service, Southern Region
I
n 1999 we completed a contract with the USDA Forest Service, Southern Region, in which we designed, programmed, and delivered a prototype GIS software application for collecting, tracking, and managing wildlife data. DataLOGIC provided IT project management, business requirements definition, programming, database design, database migration, and geographic information systems services. The delivered application software was designed to be a stand-alone GIS application operating on Windows 95 and Windows 98.

Strategic management services for Searle Chemicals
In 2000 we initiated an open purchase-order with Searle Chemicals (Pharmacia) for work to provide Windows NT, LAN/WAN, and MS Exchange design and strategic management services on an as-needed basis.

In this work, we provide "on-call" high-level design and trouble-shooting services for local and wide-area network optimization and configuration, design of mail systems and exchange servers, and network and systems consulting services. Operating environment consisted mainly of Windows NT, Windows 2000 and UNIX.

IT and GIS services for multi-modal GIS transportation database
As part of several ongoing efforts, we provide GIS services to the Atlanta Regional Commission under a subcontract from Wilbur Smith Associates, Inc. The main purpose of these efforts is to provide IT and GIS services necessary to design GIS integration strategies, create multi-modal GIS transportation databases, and build GIS analysis tools.

Many of these projects required database design, GIS programming and data migration services needed to create a multi-model GIS transportation database. The operating system environment consisted of Windows 98 and 2000 running ArcGIS and ArcView. This project illustrates our proven ability to integrate GIS and IT work and it one of several such project that DataLOGIC has successfully performed.

IT/GIS strategy for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International
We have an on-going project with Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International (DFGFI). What makes this work truly unique is the requirement of DFGFI, a non-profit company, to develop an IT/GIS strategy that covers data warehousing, GIS application development, satellite imagery, and corporate software and systems. Currently, DataLOGIC is creating an IT/GIS strategy for managing data acquired across central Africa.
